An elastic mag pouch works until it is half empty, at which point the pocket collapses and putting a magazine back in becomes a two-handed job. An insert holds the shape so it stays a one-handed job.
Fujin print these in PLA, which keeps them light and, more usefully, quiet — a hard insert stops the rattle you get from kit moving inside a soft pouch. The surface is smooth enough not to scuff what you put in it.
They are built around the Kazebuko Tactical System but fit most standard loadout pouches. PLA is biodegradable, which Fujin call out and which is unusual in this corner of the market.

Fujin also make a MagLock version of this insert, which does a different job — that one converts an M4 pouch to carry two compact replicas rather than stiffening a single pocket.

What does an insert actually change? A part-empty pouch stops collapsing, so the magazine goes back in first time instead of after two attempts.
Will it fit a pouch that is not a Kazebuko? Fujin design it around the Kazebuko and say it fits most standard loadout pouches. Ask us if yours is unusual.

Why does the material matter? PLA is hard enough to hold shape and smooth enough not to mark your kit. Fujin also point out it is biodegradable.
