- description
A plate carrier traps heat against your back, and by the third game of a summer day that is the thing wearing you down rather than the weight. The ThermoGrid sits underneath and gives the air somewhere to go.
The grid keeps a channel open between your body and the carrier so moisture can evaporate instead of pooling. The padding is there to spread the carrier’s weight across your torso rather than letting it hang off two shoulder straps.
It mounts by Velcro or straps, so it works under the NADAI Gen2 as Fujin intend, and equally under any other carrier you already own.

Good to know
Works standalone. Fujin build it around the Shinto system but it is not tied to it — any plate carrier that takes a Velcro or strapped insert will do.
Frequently asked questions
Does it make the carrier bulkier? It adds a layer, but the whole design is about airflow rather than padding thickness. Fujin publish no thickness figure, so we are not going to quote one.
Will it fit a carrier that is not a NADAI? Yes. Velcro or straps, so it is not platform-specific.
Is this the same as a plate backer? No. A backer sits behind the plate; this sits between the carrier and you, and its job is airflow rather than protection.
