It carries multiple pouches and compartments as supplied, and the backing is breathable mesh rather than solid webbing — which matters on a hot day when the belt is the thing sitting against you.
It adjusts to fit a range of builds and takes additional pouches and accessories, so the layout ends up yours rather than the one it shipped with.
